QuickBooks is our payroll and onboarding system. You will receive an email to complete your W9 and direct deposit information. We recommend setting up your direct deposit in QuickBooks, this is the quickest method to receive your payment.
DZ Productions pays Independent Contractors within 30 business days of receiving a completed invoice or the completion date of the show, whichever is later. We strive to pay our Independent Contractors promptly, but please be aware that holidays, weekends, unforeseen banking issues, and payment delays outside of our control may occasionally cause delays. Additionally, we process payments once per week, on Tuesdays. Please note that the processing day is when we initiate payment, not when funds become available in your account. The availability of funds depends on your individual bank's policies.

Tools
As an Independent Contractor, it is your responsibility to have the appropriate tools that would be needed for the position, for which you are scheduled. For instance, a Lighting Assist position requires that you have at least a crescent wrench in order to accomplish the required tasks of that position. We highly encourage all of our techs to have an all-purpose tool (i.e. Leatherman or Gerber) with them for any and all positions. A mini flashlight is also useful to possess for many positions. Being unprepared for work, as not having the necessary tools to do your job when they are required (C-Wrench, Multi-tool, Sharpie, or tools for your said discipline) If there is a replacement on standby you may also be sent home for being unprepared for work.
