The event
das energi takes place at The Great Saltair on the shore of the Great Salt Lake in Magna, Utah. The site is open and exposed, with little natural shade, so shade is part of keeping an all-day dance crowd comfortable and safe.
The ask
Shade planned for the venue’s ground and wind exposure, installed before the August 2026 show and struck cleanly afterward without getting in the way of the rest of the site build.
What DZ delivered
A full install: planning for the shade layout, a production manager and rigging crew for setup and teardown, shop prep before the trucks left, and delivery to the venue and back.
Why it worked
Exposed sites come down to the details: the right ballast for the ground, a rigging plan that holds in real wind, and a crew that moves fast without cutting corners.
